Cone of Mount Fuji among the reeds
Date: ca. 1927 - 1930
Exceedingly rare, very early vintage print by Okada, one of his first views of Mt. Fuji

Glossy, gelatin silver print, near vintage, much different than most Okada prints printed on textured semi matte surface photo paper. This prints also comes with a certificate signed and stamped by Okada, done from 1945 to the early 1950s.
This print is very similar in style and substance to Okada’s late 1920s work shot with Non-Panchro Ilford Dry Plate film. Additionally, this print is printed on glossy paper, the same as the documented print listed above entitled “The Peak at Morning from Asayo Peak”. This was printed during the 1930s to the early 1940s and is near vintage.
Condition: Very good with deep rich tones and a trace amount of silvering on the edges. The certificate is creased vertically. The print comes matted in an archival mat board.
