Catalogue of the first Japan Photographic Art Exhibition held at the Daimaru Dry Goods Store in Osaka in May 1926, sponsored by the Osaka Mainichi and the Tokyo Nichinichi newspapers. This fine publication features many of the best Japanese art photographers of that era including Takayama Masataka, Kajiwara Keibun, Yasui Nakaji, Kobayashi Yuji, Yamamoto Makihiko, Fukuda Katsuji, Furukawa Narutoshi, Nishi Kikuji, Kometani Koro, Umesaka Ori, Sakakibara Seiyo, Fukumori Hakuyo and Fuchigami Hakuyo. Large format publication with 168 gilded pages, overlapping velvet cover and inside letterpress cover in gold ink. A total of 172 illustrations including:
- Single, duotone and full color rotogravures (148).
